Our bread machine has paid off especially during this second lockdown. I have tried a lot of different recipes. Its like magic: measure your ingredients, place them in the correct order and let the machine do its magic. Ready to roll and bake dough perfectly prepared. And then bake anything you can think of.  The recipe for pizza dough was inspired by an instagram friend who was looking...

For starters, let's admire this amazing cake mould that since I bought I use almost exclusively for baking my cakes. It is this one. I love how cakes look with this mould. It's like a small village. Especially with the sugar on top is like a Christmas scenery. And this is for me the beginning of my Christmas mood.  Last Saturday I used almost every piece of a pumpkin we bought for...

While scrolling the intros of all my recent posts I see a pattern: pandemic, lockdown, fear etc. The truth is that you cannot live in your own little bubble. On the other hand, I want this piece of the internet to bring joy and positivity. This is how I feel every time I read my posts. Am I ok that Penelope's school is closed due to the second wave of the pandemic? I am not. Am I scared? Sure...

Almost a week has passed from the second lockdown here in Athens. A lot is different from the first lockdown. First of all there is a lot more traffic than the fist lockdown. Despite the fact that most of the stores are closed.  Also I noticed that sending all the time sms for going to my basic tasks (doctor, office, school, super market) is like going back to my mom's home and shouting...

And here we are at quarantine part 2 here in Athens! I think all of us were expecting the lockdown to come sooner or later. I thought it would happen a little later. This time a had a little harder time digesting the quarantine news. Maybe I was caught off guard. I really don't know.  Of course my thought is with those who are really the ones suffering the severe economic consequences...

Today's post is the result of our culinary experiments during quarantine. The one of March- April. During the first wave of the pandemic. And here we are in the second wave. Let's hope to leave it soon behind as easy as possible. The (perhaps only) good of the whole situation is that we stay in more. And I have more time to post to my beloved blog.  This is one of many recipes that...

I have so many news to share I do not know where to begin.  For starters we are all well. Very busy at the office ( for which we are very grateful). The summer came and gone at a glance. I don't even know when school season began.  I managed to skip my postings for 6 whole months. Something that I love about me lovely blog home is that it is always there waiting for me. Whether...

The good news of this whole new situation is the opportunity to eat fresh cooked meals every day. Even the working days. Just because we are already home at lunch and dinner time.  But what happens when (almost all of us) we are working from home? No time for elaborate recipes. This is exactly when such easy to make recipes come in handy. Only 3 ingredients and 10 minutes of your time...

I really can't describe my feelings these days. Usually I am fine, happy to be healthy, to be me with my family and that all my beloved ones are also healthy. But the announcement was made that going out is restricted my law and that you have to report when and why your are leaving home made me a little bit sick in the stomach.  Not that I am going anywhere. Still working from home,...

And so we lived to see this happening: staying at home, fear for something you have not seen but only heard about and terrified to the idea that it will be knocking on your door or (even worse) knowing the door of your beloved ones, especially the ones that are more vulnerable to this thing. First of all, life shows you the hard way that there is worse. For me personally 2019 was one of the...

Oh yes I am still here. I've missing posts (a lot) but still here. This was an lifechanging year for me in so many levels. I lost people I love leaving me with deep scars. Happy changes also happened. And lots of traveling. And grief and anxiety 2019 was a full and busy year. But I do not want to bother you with my bad new. Especially know that everyone is in full speed holiday mood. And...

First of all thank you once again for your kind words and messages regarding my previous article. They really mean a lot and give me strength and courage. Also, they motivate me to share with you all the material that is stuck in memory cards and notebooks. This is one of the recipe that had to be shared.  Ok I confess I am obsessed with tahini. In all of its forms....
