<p>Angel Food Cake, the food of the angels. And boy does that cake stands to its name. It is the fluffiest and most light flavored cake I ever taste yet. Needless to say it lasted for a day when I baked it? In a house where there are not many cake funs (just me). You may blame it to its fluffiness? Or to the lack of butter and fat? Either way you only need six ingredients for this heavenly baked flavor.</p><p>So angels, may we check out the recipe?</p><p>Angel Food Cake</p>

Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 12 eggs whites at room temperature
  • 1 & ¼ cup of white sugar
  • 1 tsp crème of tartar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Προθερμαίνουμε το φούρνο στον αέρα στους 180 βαθμούς Κελσίου
  2. Σε ένα μπολ κοσκινίζουμε το αλεύρι και το αλάτι και το αφήνουμε στην άκρη
  3. Στο μίξερ μας ανακατεύουμε σε μεσαία ταχύτητα τα ασπράδια μέχρι να αφρίσουν ελαφρώς. Σταματάμε το μίξερ και προσθέτουμε το κρεμόριο, τη ζάχαρη και το εκχύλισμα βανίλιας
  4. Συνεχίζουμε να χτυπάμε σε δυνατή ταχύτητα μέχρι να σχηματίσουμε μία σφικτή μαρέγκα
  5. Preheat the oven at 180 Celsius.
  6. In a big bowl mix the flour with the sea salt and leave aside.
  7. Using a standing mixer, mix in the egg whites at medium speed until lightly fluffy.
  8. Stop the mixer, add the crème of tartar, the sugar and the vanilla extract.
  9. At high speed whisk the mixture until there is a tight meringue.
  10. Stop again the mixer and using a silicon spatula, add the flour mixture very gently making sure the batter remains fluffy and airy.
  11. Pour the mixture in a round baking mold.
  12. Bake for about 35 minutes.
  13. Demold when the cake is chilled off completely.
Notes
The meringue is ready when we are able to flip the mixer bowl and the mixture doesn’t move.
